King Tide's Story
For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of being a charter captain in the Chesapeake Bay. From the early days of walking the docks at the marina asking the guides how they did, to becoming one myself, the journey has been one I will never forget.
I stumbled into the word King Tide in high school during a research project as part of the Chesapeake Bay Fellows at Norfolk Academy. After reading into it, I learned of the true power that comes with the word. King tides occur when the orbit of the sun, moon, and earth align to produce the greatest tidal effects of the year.
I immediately wrote it down thinking it was a great name for a boat, and I ultimately wanted it to be the name of my charter service. Similar to the king tides, King Tide Charters aims to be the greatest day on the water you have all year. As success in fishing relies on more than just the angler, I can not guarantee the best fishing every single day, but we at King Tide Charters can guarantee you will leave the boat with an unforgettable day filled with laughter, food, and hopefully lots of fish!
